WHAT IS MEMBERSHIP?
Membership is obeying the New Testament call to live as an accountable member of a larger family/body: “For just as the body is one and has many members…all the members of the body, though many, are one body. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” (1 Cor. 12:12, 27). Redemption membership means committing to your own spiritual renewal and growth, as well as the renewal of others in the Redemption family.
Membership is committing to Redemption Church as a member of the body.
Membership is joining the mission and belonging to the family.
Membership is moving from consumer to contributor.
The Redemption Membership Covenant is formed out of our love for the church body and its individual members whom we hope will experience the fullness of joy which is found in the presence of the Lord. The primary purpose of this covenant is to serve as a teaching document with three functions:
1. To clarify the biblical obligations and expectations for both the elders of Redemption and the individual members of the Redemption body.
2. To establish teaching and doctrinal parameters for the Redemption body.
3. To serve as a tool for reflection and growth.
