COMMUNITY GROUPS

"We love because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19

Community Groups are designed to foster personal spiritual growth, encourage fellowship with other believers, and expand the body of Christ in our community.

God designed us to be in community. Though there are 1.2 million people in Charlotte, it is entirely possible to be surrounded by people but remain alone. Though we may have family, friends, dating relationships, coworkers, or neighbors in our lives, it’s possible to still be unknown. We invite you to live life as God intended it; authentic, vulnerable, and connected.

Community Groups currently meet in three locations within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. In addition to connecting relationally with one another, groups focus on spurring spiritual growth through biblical studies and sermons discussions. Each week we open our Bibles together, pray for one another, and support and encourage each other to continue pursuing Christ.

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."

Matthew 18:20

Our Vision of Growth

God designed us to be in community.  By gathering frequently in larger groups throughout the city, we intend for everyone to grow deeper both in their relationships with God and each other.  As these relationships grow, we hope they will encourage us to invite others to know and experience the steadfast love of Jesus, thereby joining with us.

We are implementing a new format for Community Groups where the 1st week of each month we’ll gather as one, CHURCH-WIDE COMMUNITY GROUP at the Dowd YMCA, Wednesdays at 7pm.  This will be a significant time for us to gather for prayer and fellowship; as well, to engage the content of the current Discipleship Module and other important topics. The remaining weeks of the month will be coordinated by each Community Group.  We encourage everyone to participate in a Community Group of their choosing, whether that is determined by location, meeting day/time, relational connections, etc.
